Description

Measures can be created and managed on both the SSA app and the SSA-System website. To create a new measure, click on the orange "Add" button. The input screen opens for you to add the necessary data. You have the option to add images to the information. The "Origin of the measure" field enables you to assign the measure you have created to a certain group or topic area. In addition, a priority can be selected with which urgency the measure should be carried out. This will help later on with searching, prioritisation and analysis.

Origin of the measureCommentsDocumentation
Unsafe conditionI have observed an unsafe condition, e.g. a deficit in a process, a danger, a hazard, a hazardous situation, a hazardous event, a risk…The corrective measure is documented in the "Description" field and may be accompanied by an image.
Unsafe actionI have observed an unsafe action or an unsafe action was reported to me, e.g. breach of the safety rules, activities with relevant hazards/risks, process deviations e.g. due to errors…The corrective measure is documented in the "Description" field and may be accompanied by an image.
Near accidentPhew, we were lucky here. Measures need to be taken to ensure it does not happen again. The measure to prevent this situation is documented in the "Description" field and may be accompanied by an image.
Material damageI have identified material damage. The cause and perpetrator cannot be determined. The incident therefore cannot be resolved. However, the material damage needs to be rectified. The corrective measure is documented in the "Description" field and may be accompanied by an image.
Occupational / Non occupational accident*Following the occupational/non-occupational accident, we are implementing immediate measures. The accident will be analysed in more detail as part of the incident resolution. This will then be used to determine the definitive and systematic measures.
We were informed that an accident was caused in another area. We have the same situation here.
The necessary immediate measures already implemented, as well as the definitive measures to prevent such accidents, are documented in the "Description" field and may be accompanied by an image.
Suggestion for improvementI/we/my employee/my colleague has a good idea, someone has suggested a good solution, we could do this more safely, healthily, simply, quickly, cost-effectively, better, more sustainably, in a more customer-oriented way.The improvement measure is documented in the "Description" field and may be accompanied by an image.
Positive feedbackI want to document and report my observation of an improvement, a well-implemented idea, the exemplary behaviour of my colleague, the exemplary behaviour of my team…The positive feedback is documented in the "Description" field and may be accompanied by an image. For person-specific positive feedback, the "Feedback" action can also be used.
VariousThe measure recorded in the "Description" field cannot be assigned to one of the causes listed. Examples could be: measures regarding quality, environment, hygiene, third-party companies, sub-contractors, emergency organisation, preparation or security, provided it is not a suggestion for improvement. The corrective measure is documented in the "Description" field and may be accompanied by an image.

* The "Occupational accident" category is designed to support the documentation of preventative measures following an accident causing physical injury. It does not negate the need for a full incident resolution procedure.
